Cuono Engineering extends its congratulations to The Lincoln Depot Museum on their 10-year anniversary. The Depot Museum, which opened in 2014, stands as the meticulously restored 3,000 SF freight and passenger rail depot situated at the original location in Peekskill, NY, where Abraham Lincoln made a historic stop to engage with New Yorkers during his inaugural train journey from Illinois to DC in 1861. Following its opening, plans and construction commenced for a new Visitor’s Center, further enhancing the museum's offerings. The Museum and Visitor's Center serve as a gateway to the rich history and ties between Lincoln and Peekskill. To commemorate the museum's decade-long journey, the foundation will be hosting a celebratory event and fundraiser this Saturday.
Cuono Engineering provided structural engineering services for the design of the foundation and superstructure of the Visitor’s Center. This newly constructed building at the historic site houses the museum offices, a gift shop, additional displays, and offers an open meeting room for events.
