Project Developers, Regency Ventures LLC and 56 Prospect Holdings LLC, along with General Contractor, Kings Capital Construction are bringing this luxurious transformation to Westchester’s largest city. Regency on the Hudson, a seven-story apartment building located on 56 Prospect Street will transform formerly vacant lots in Yonkers into 126 units of affordable and market-rate river-view housing. This $32.6 million apartment building will include 90 studios, 18 one-bedroom apartments, and 18 two-bedroom apartments, with a rooftop terrace overlooking the scenic views of the Hudson River. Thirteen of these apartments will be part of the city’s Affordable Housing Program. Each apartment will have full-sized kitchens, large and fully accessible bathrooms, as well as individual laundry facilities. In addition, amenities such as a private landscaped courtyard on the first-floor residential level, an underground parking garage for 130 cars, and a green roof will be included.
Cuono Engineering was contracted by C&F Steel Design to provide services including steel-to-steel connections, such as shear, braced, and moment connections for gravity and lateral loads. In addition, our services included the design of the structural framing of stairs and railings, which included the newly proposed two-line pipe railings at the parking garage, the newly proposed pipe railings at the transfer slab, and providing conceptual sections, draft connection details, and erection drawing markups for miscellaneous components of Stair #1, Stair #2, Stair #3, Stair #4, and Stair #5. We will also provide signed and sealed calculations as the Specialty Engineer designated for connection design for the various steel-to-steel connections of the Stair #3 shaft framing.
On Friday, September 29th, Kings Capital held the Topping Off Ceremony, which was attended by City of Yonkers Officials and construction crew members to celebrate.
