Yesterday marked the ceremonial start of construction for this exciting redevelopment project in West Harrison by Simone Development. Designed by Perkins Eastman, the project will revamp the existing 115,000 SF, vacant 4-story office building located at 104 Corporate Park Drive, into a new space for Montefiore Medical Center. Among the facilities functions, including being a pediatric ambulatory care facility, a 5,000 SF addition will house a linear accelerator for a new cancer center. Completion of construction is expected by end of 2020.
Cuono Engineering is providing structural engineering services for the core and shell renovations, the addition, and the foundations for the adjacent parking garage. The renovations include new elevators, new stair towers, mechanical roof top dunnage and screening, and a new entrance canopy. Additionally, the lateral load resisting system was upgraded as part of the renovation.
